Song Of The Day #9 (Video)

michael jackson, on a positive note: peep what mike is doing at 1:39 to 1:54, that symbolism kinda gives you chills-in a good way, the fire & the water, how his brothers are all pointing up to him, the sunrays, etc. pretty rad

Laker Parade 09

Despite almost getting trampled by cholos in a gang fight (it doesnt help that I have a shaved head), the parade was a lot better than it was in 00-01 standing in the Staples Center parking lot (now LA Live). But yeah, it was just nuts, packed to the brim. Easily 100K plus since not everyone even got in the coliseum. Getting in and getting out were the hardest parts. Great infrastructure LA, city planners did a great job over the years preparing for the overload of traffic/people that slows this place to a ridiculously slow crawl.

Awesome album cover, even more awesome lyrics.

Night Stalker for Intellivision

One of the greatest games ever. It's a similar maze design type game, like pacman, but instead of picking up pellets, you are turning corners having shootouts in the dark with futuristic killer robots. In the midst of dueling with the murderbots, you are constantly dodging gigantic spiders and bats. How's that for creepy.

Although I hardly ever play any "modern" video games despite owning a Wii, the classics never get old. Prior to picking up a NES in about 1984/5, it was all about intellivision. I will post a top ten intellivision list later.

The Cadbury Egg

Call me a freak, but one of my favorite pieces of chocolate goodness is the fabled cadbury egg. Funny thing is, no one I know seems to like them! Oh well, more for me. The cream filling is what really sets it off, but its an acquired taste I guess. My sister used to freeze them in order to savor the flavor year round (they are easter seasonal). I don't think she does that anymore, and rightfully so or I'd be eating one everyday. It's especially tempting when they are at the 99 cent store for 25 cents or less after easter. Dangerous

Jay-Z X Joe Camel

Wow. lol.

Song Of The Day #2

early 80's disco rap is the shit. Here is one that's pretty hard to find, sampled by Latryx on "Lady Don't Tek No."

Japanese Kit-Kat

There are many reasons why I'd like to go to Japan one day. I love sushi, cool VIP style old school lexuses (is the plural of lexus "lexi" or lexuses?), like the one pictured below...

...and from what I understand the japanese have good taste in music I like - and a ton of dope sneaker stores (but rarely anything bigger than a sz 10). I'd probably like to visit the Kirin brewery too. I dont eat much ice cream, but when I do it is either red bean, green tea, or ube flavored. You know where I'm going with this right? Id like to come home from Japan with a few cases of these, and I'm straight for a year. KIT KAT = CRACK.

by the way I am addicted to kit kat bars if you didnt figure that one out.

Sneaker Showcase #1 "Air Trainer SC III Bo Jackson" Edition

Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson, Bo Jackson. My top three athletes of all time...in that order. Of course Air Jordans (as far as athlete endorsed shoes are concerned) are infinitely more popular than any other sneaker in existence to date, period, but imagine a pair of Jordans in some type of "white sox" edition, like when he played for the ChiSox farm team that one year. This pair of Bo Jacksons would be akin to that, but better!

This Air Trainer SC III came out around 1990, and was remade in 1999 with a swoosh on the back. Lame. This being one of the more rare and original pairs with the raiders color make-up, but the rare part is the 34 on the back (bo's number with the raiders). There is a version without the 34, but why even bother?

I've seen a handful of these over the years, most have been beat to shit, a few from Japan as well that are cracked to hell from bad storage, elements, etc. This pair is brand new, with the original box, sz 9. it took me 10 years to find these, and I wouldn't normally buy this size shoe, but they can't be worn anyway so I guess it really doesnt matter. It would be easier finding a sasquatch at the beach than finding these in this condition. I figured the OG LA Raiders proline snap back hat would be a nice touch.

Burrito Review #1

There's a place called Alberto's all over the San Gabriel Valley, I think in Orange County too. I'm sure you've probably seen them. Anyway, don't go there, they suck.

Hello!

Hi, my sister has been telling me to start a blog for years now, I guess there's a lot to talk about. I was just sitting down to have some honey bunches of oats (now with chocolate clusters) so I figured, what the hell.

But back to the lecture at hand....we have a lot to talk about! Making up for lost time is like me trying to remember what I did last weekend.....it will be a close guess, but not quite the same as how it went down. you smell me? good. now that I have your attention, kind of, I mean if you made it this far you're gonna be in it for the long haul. let's get down to more important business....the following topics I plan to post quite a bit but are not limited to:

sneakers, jheri curl styles, burrito reviews, obscure 80's/90's music, talking smack about my sister, gravity and anti-matter, dog training tips, gripes about traffic infrastructure in L.A, current local socio-economic conditions, candy bars, people who are douche bags and why they are such douche bags, the universe, self help guru type stuff, my hat of the day, and much much more!

so stay tuned! there's a butt load of stuff coming.
